This morning was a difficult one, as far as getting dressed goes. I had no inspiration. I put together one outfit, but it was far too fancy for the day's plans, so I took it off and started again. I finally came up with this: the dress tucked into a pair of bootcut jeans, a skinny pink belt, my new pink and green Indian pashmina I bought yesterday in a charity shop, pink stripey socks and sparkly shoes. Though it's hard to tell from the photos, my hair is pulled up in a side bun (why do ponytails and braids get all the side action?), and on my wrist is my allsorts bracelet. I even matched my eye make-up to the green in the scarf - a change from my usual brown palette.

Today is a lovely fall day. For once it isn't raining, so the leaves on the ground are dry and crisp rather than wet and soggy, and it's not terribly cold today either. The leaves look so nice today, that I pulled the car over while driving to get out and take some photos.
Jaguar had his first birthday party today. My friend Cheryl's son turned one this week. It was lovely seeing everyone there. If you've been following my blog, you'll know I have recently left my church, which means those friends that I only ever got to see on Sundays I now never see at all. I guess it just means we'll have to make more effort to see each other at other times! And this upcoming October week holiday is the perfect time. Hopefully I'll get a chance to meet up again with my friends this week!
On the church front, I have no idea what we're going to do tomorrow. For the past two weekends, we've had other plans anyway, so I've been able to avoid the thought of looking for a new church. Tomorrow though, I really should take the kids somewhere... I just have no idea where. And no real energy to look. We'll probably end up going to Old Gourock and Ashton since we've been going there a bit anyway, but eventually we'll need to find someplace more permanent.
At any rate, we'll figure something out, and in the mean time I'm not going to worry much about it. I'm looking forward to the kids being off school this next week. Maybe the weather will be decent enough to actually get outdoors! Probably not, but I can always hope.
